The work of this project consists of obtaining all materials and completing all work related to construction of a 5-foot-wide concrete sidewalk connecting the existing sidewalk located on the south side of Paxton Street approximately 360 feet east of the 29th street intersection with the Capital Area Green Belt near the Paxton Street intersection with 32nd Street. Incidental to this work is providing and installing fill the grades and elevations shown on the construction drawings as well as drainage improvements to extend the cross culvert and receiving channel to the existing facilities under the Capital Area Green Belt. Each Bid shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid total. This project falls under The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania enacted Act 127 of 2012, known as the Public Works Employment Verification Act (the Act) which requires all public work contractors and subcontractors to utilize the Federal Government's E-Verify system to ensure that all employees performing work on public work projects are authorized to work in the United States.
