Bids shall be submitted in sealed envelopes, addressed to Adam Doan and shall bear on the face thereof, the name and address of the bidder and the appropriate contract title: "Panther Kill Stream Restoration" All questions and requests for clarification must be received in writing via email to jillian.cole@stantec.com by 4:00pm on July 8, 2022.The contract consists of the stabilization of an existing bank failure by relocating approximately 325 feet of Panther Kill adjacent to Pantherkill Road that currently is in contact with the eroding hillslope. It will involve the grading of a new channel and floodplain bench, bed and bank stabilization features, vegetated bank stabilization along the eroding hillslope and riparian buffer planting. An additional bank stabilization feature is also included upstream of the channel relocation. Proposed channel, streambank and floodplain stabilization techniques include reinforced bed mix, boulder vanes, rootwads with boulder toe, and live stake installation. Vegetated bank stabilization along the eroding hillslope will include installation of live willow fascines and floodplain/riparian planting. Additional areas of site restoration will include topsoil, seed, trees, and container plants. The contractor shall provide a point of contact including a contact name, company name, mailing address, email address, and telephone number for distribution of addenda and other bid correspondence. Addenda, if any, will be issued electronically only to those persons whose name and email address are on record as having obtained the contract documents and have attended the mandatory site showing.Contractors that obtain contract documents from a source other than the issuing office must notify the issuing office in order to be placed on the official plan holder's list in order to receive addenda and other bid correspondence. Bids received from contractors other than those on the official plan holder's list will not be accepted.A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of Ulster County Soil & Water Conservation District, negotiable United States Government Bonds (at par value), or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety, in an amount equal to at least ten (10%) percent of the Base Bid shall be submitted with each Bid. UCSWCD is exempt from paying sales and compensating use taxes of the State of New York and of cities and counties on all materials to be incorporated into the work.The successful Bidder, to whom a Contract is awarded, will be required to execute a good and sufficient bond of indemnity of a duly authorized surety company, equal to the full amount of the Contract, as security for the faithful performance on the part
