Champaign Community Unit School District No. 4 is inviting the submission of sealed bids for the installation of owner furnished playground equipment for two new playgrounds at the New International Prep Academy, located at 1611 W. Kirby Ave., Champaign, IL 61821. The sealed envelope should read: "Champaign Community Unit School District #4 IPA - Owner Furnished Playground Equipment Install " All questions must be submitted via email to Sandra Roesler at roeslesa@u4sd.org with Elizabeth Stegmaier at stegmaja@u4sd.org additionally copied no later than close of business Friday, July 1, 2022. All questions will be answered and a final addendum issued no later than Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at 5:00 pm. Bids are to include the cost of a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Labor & Material Payment Bond. Champaign Community School District No. 4 is to be named as dual Obligee. Project Completion a. The Owner anticipates "Notice to Proceed" on or about Tuesday, July 12, 2022. The Contractor shall achieve Substantial Completion of work within 30 calendar days of the Notice to Proceed date. b. K-2 Playground must be substantially completed by Monday, July 25, 2022 for install of poured in place surfacing by Others. c. 3rd - 5th Playground shall be substantially completed by Monday, August 15, 2022. The Contractor is required to comply with all of the applicable provisions of the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (830 ILCS 130) and agrees to pay laborers, workers, and mechanics performing services on this project not less than the prevailing hourly wage rate determined by the Illinois Department of Labor for Champaign County. Certified payroll to be provided upon request. The District reserves the right to accept or reject bids based on the best interest of the District.
