Job No. P-95-002-23, FAI 57 Sanitary Sewer at Illini Prairie Rest Areas, Phase I/II Engineering Services, Champaign County, Region Three/District Five. This project requires 21% DBE participation, or if the contract goal is not met, documented evidence of good faith efforts. The Complexity Factor for this project is 0.035. The Consultant who is selected for this project and all Subconsultants the Prime Consultant will be using are scheduled to attend an initial meeting on February 7, 2023, at 10:00 AM at the Region Three/District Five Office in Paris. Phase I and II engineering services are required for the preparation of a project report and final contract plans, specifications, and cost estimates for the selected sanitary sewer project at Illini Prairie Rest Areas along FAI-57 near Pesotum. This project includes Phase I work which may consist of a Sanitary Engineering Feasibility Study; various cost estimates; a set of preliminary sanitary sewer plans for Illini Prairie Rest Areas on I 57 and selected route, as well as preliminary roadway plans for I 57 and selected route; and preparing a project report. This work may include data collection, development of alternatives, cost estimates, traffic management analysis, traffic management plans, accident analysis, quantity computations, IEPA permitting process and other related work items required to produce a project report. The estimated construction cost for this project is $3,000,000. The contract must be completed by March 1, 2024. The Prime firm must be prequalified in the following categories to be considered for this project: Highways (Freeways) Location Design Studies (Rehabilitation) Special Services (Sanitary) Statements of Interest, including resumes of only the key people noted above, must be submitted electronically to the Central Bureau of Design and Environment through the Engineering Prequalification and Agreement System (EPAS).
