Site work, new construction and renovation of a mixed-use development in Adel, Iowa. Completed plans call for the construction of a service station / car wash facility; for site work for a parking garage; and for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Project No: 21001327.01, 21001327.00, The project consists of the following building structures and site work: 1. All site work including: Grading, gravel drives, concrete approaches, and utility improvements. 2. New Mechanic's Bay, Brine, Wash Bay Building: A 6,480 sq. foot maintenance mechanic's bay, water reclamation for brine making, wash bay, brine area, storage, and office. The construction consists of prefabricated, pre-cast concrete wall panels and Double T roof structure, EPDM roof, concrete slabs, CMU interior walls, hoists, insulated overhead doors, and complete HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems. 3. Electrical Upgrade and Generator for site and existing maintenance garage. Davis Bacon wages do not apply. It is the intent of the Iowa DOT to award the contract to the responsible bidder whose submitted quotation is the most advantageous to the Iowa DOT, cost and other factors considered. Other factors include, but are not limited to: meeting or exceeding mandatory requirements, proposed staffing, and meeting required time schedule. This is a tax exempt project.
