Site work and paving for a road / highway in Nahunta, Georgia. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
Brantley County is intending to use 2022 LMIG funds to resurface approximately 3.5 miles of Browntown Road from Georgia Route 32 to Albert Gibson Road. Brantley County is seeking qualified engineering firms to provide professional services for scoping, bidding, construction administration, closeout, and grant coordination for this project. All work should be completed by December 2022. A. The selected company will begin with an initial road condition assessment of Browntown Road and evaluate the general condition of the road and develop a draft bid package to include bid quantities, GDOT specifications, special provisions, and opinions of probable cost (OPC) for County review. B. Once approved the selected firm will diligently work to solicit contractor bids for County submission. C. The selected firm will coordinate with County staff to hold one pre-bid meeting as necessary. D. The selected firm will also respond to RFCs during the solicitation period, review submitted bids, and present recommendations for award at the appropriate County Commission meeting. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
