Site work, renovation and addition to a library in Fremont, Nebraska. Completed plans call for the addition of a 12,480-square-foot library; for the renovation of a 21,860-square-foot, two-story above grade library; and for site work for a library.

*As of October 6, 2022, construction is underway. The project consists of constructing an approximate 11,800 square-feet, slab-on-grade addition on the east side of the existing Keene Memorial Library building located at 1030 North Broad Street in Fremont, Nebraska. The building addition will be split into a northern two-story portion and a southern single-story portion. The proposed structure will match the existing and is anticipated to utilize woodframed construction methods with a stone veneer. For the purposes of this report, maximum column loads of 75 kips and maximum continuous wall loads of 4 kips per lineal foot have been assumed. Grade changes within the proposed building addition footprint are anticipated to consist of fill placement of up to 2 feet to match the existing building's finished floor elevation. The existing structure does not have a basement area. The two residential structures with surrounding paved drives and parking were razed prior to our exploration. The buildings have been removed and the area filled in. MCL is requesting pricing on Bid Package 1 for the renovation and expansion of the Keene Memorial Library in Fremont, Nebraska. This project consists of 21,860 sf of renovation and 12,480 sf of new expansion.
