The City of Champaign, IL is pleased to issue this Request for Proposals (RFP) for the redevelopment of a vacant city-owned lot located at the southwest corner of Third Street and Stoughton Street. This collection of four parcels comprises 25,137 square feet and provides a prime development opportunity situated between Downtown Champaign and the University of Illinois campus. It is expected that the chosen Developer will purchase the lot, take ownership of the property and construct the proposed development under the terms of a negotiated economic development agreement with the City. This Request for Proposals outlines the goals of the City in offering this property for redevelopment, the information required to make a proposal and the criteria that will be used to select a Developer. This RFP is being managed by the City of Champaign Planning and Development Department. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
