The City of Hamilton offers a residential Sewer Lateral Management Program to registered Property Owners of a Residential Property. The Sewer Lateral Management Program is meant to help Property Owners repair, replace and/or rehabilitate the public portion of the sewer lateral at the City's cost. One method of rehabilitation is sewer lateral lining. By relining the sewer lateral with cured in place pipe, the life of the Sewer Lateral can be extended without the need to excavate the existing pipe and replacing it with a new one. In order help property owners within the City of Hamilton the City intends to compile and maintain a list of three contractors, that the City has prequalified, to perform Sewer Lateral Lining work on behalf of property owners within the City of Hamilton. Use of the prequalified contractors will be at the discretion of the property owner. The prequalification list shall be in effect for a period of three (3) years (Effective Period) beginning October 1, 2022. The City may at its sole discretion extend the Effective Period of the prequalification list for a further one (1) year for a maximum total of up to four (4) years. Where the City chooses to exercise its right to extend the Effective Period of the prequalification list it shall provide written notice of its intention to do so to the Successful Applicants.
