The Project consists of the installation of (3) new Roof Top HVAC Units on the Turf Room, E130, at the Mt. Vernon Township High School (MVTHS) Campus. Local Contractors preferred. Bids will be received for a prime Contractor on a lump sum basis as indicated in the Bid Form. Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Morn days through Fridays between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below Bidding Documents may be viewed and ordered online via email with the Issuing Office at the email address listed above. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bid der's date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of the Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Access the Operations Building by taking the drive around the south parking lot behind the school building. Someone will be available to direct parking Iocs tions. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is encouraged but not mandatory. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The Contractor and Sub-Contractors shall not pay less than the prevailing rates of wages as found by the Dept. of Labor or as determined by the Court of Appeal, to all laborers, workmen, and mechanics performing work under this contract, and shall comply with the requirements of the Illinois Wages of Employees on Public Works Act (820 ILCS 130/1-12). Also, the Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because ol their race, color, religion, sex, or national origin.
