Site work and paving for a road / highway in Preston, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The Town of Preston will receive sealed bids for the construction of the 8th Drive Double Chip Seal Project. The work for which bids are asked includes the following: Resurfacing 8th Drive from Cree Avenue (end of existing newer Chip Seal) south to north of STH 21 and 8th Drive from south of STH 21 to Cypress Avenue, including the entire 8th Drive and Cypress Avenue intersection, including 2 miles of full road width pulverizing, up to 1200 ton 3/4-inch limestone base course dense, grading and compacting roadway, 19' wide standard Double Chip Seal surface, turf restoration of all areas disturbed, traffic control and other items necessary to provide a complete and functional road. Bid to include description of proposed materials for use in comparing bids. Bid shall include bid bond. Contract shall include payment and performance bond, insurance including a minimum of $100,000/$100,000/$500,000 Workers Compensation, $2,000,000 Excess or Umbrella Contractor's General Liability, $1,000,000 Automobile, $2,000,000 Contractual Liability Bodily Injury or Property Damage and naming the Town of Preston as additional insured. The Town reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids.
