The scope of services includes all required activities to carry out meter replacement activities, including appointment scheduling and customer service, comprehensive customer database management, meter replacements, and communication with City Utilities staff. The City of Waterloo's meter inventory includes 15mm, 25mm, 40mm, 50mm, 75mm, 100mm, 150mm, 200mm, and 250mm water meters. Replacement activities will be required on all meter sizes - a sub contractor may be utilized for large meter replacements. Please refer to the price schedule for the estimated number of meter change outs per year. All replacements will be done at private homes, commercial properties or businesses within the City of Waterloo. The City expects the Contractor to install approximately 1200 meters per year between May and October - the anticipated number of meters is based on previous years work. This contract will be for one (1) year with the option to renew for four (4) additional one (1) year terms.
