The Infrastructure Project includes the following Work: 1.Eastern Parking Area (5,600 SY) o Stormwater Management System o Lighting o Striping/Signage 2.Shawmut Park Drive/Thacher Street Road Improvements o Existing Pavement Milling/Repave (2,800 LF) o Concrete Sidewalks (1,390 SY) 3.Traffic Signal Heightened o Tree Trimming/Replacement 4.Western Parking Area (16,000 SY) o Stormwater Management System o Lighting o Striping/Signage 5.Watermain Improvements o 20 CL 52 DIP (750 LF) o Fire Hydrants o Gate Valves/Connections to Existing 6.Sanitary Sewer Improvements o 12 SDR 35 PVC (875 LF) o Precast Concrete Manholes o Pump Station Replacement All questions shall be directed in writing to Fagan Engineers & Land Surveyors, 113 East Chemung Place, Elmira, NY 14904, James B. Following registration, a link will be sent to download complete sets of Bidding Documents the Issuing Office's website as zipped portable document format (PDF) files. There are no fees or charges associated with downloading the Bidding Documents. Note: registering with the Issuing Office is mandatory to assure notice of any addendums. If the prospective Bidder provides a customer number for a specified delivery company (such as Fed Ex, or UPS), then upon receipt of the $100.00 document fee the Issuing Office will deliver the printed Bidding Documents via the shipping method selected by the prospective Bidder (shipping charges billed to the prospective Bidder's account).Bidding Documents may be purchased from the Issuing Office during the office hours (8 AM - 5 PM) by appointment only. Cost does not include shipping charges. Upon Issuing Office's receipt of payment, printed Bidding Documents or electronic documents on compact disc will be sent via the prospective Bidder's delivery service. The shipping charge amount will depend on the shipping method chosen. Five Percent (5%) of the Total Gross Sum Bid in the form of a Bid Bond. Cash will not be accepted as a deposit. Bid deposits of all unsuccessful bidders shall be returned promptly upon execution of the contract with the successful bidder. The City of Hornell/City of Hornell IDA is an Equal Opportunity Employer and encourages all minorities to submit bids. Firms qualified and certified as Minority Business Enterprises (MBE) and Women Business Enterprises (WBE) are strongly encouraged to submit bids. Department of Labor regulations set forth at 41 C.F.R. part 60-4 establish goals and timetables for the participation of minorities and women in the construction industry. Those regulations apply to all federally assisted construction contracts in excess of $10,000. The Recipient shall comply with those regulations and shall obtain compliance with 41 C.F.R. part 60-4 from contractors and subcontractors employed on the project by including such notices, clauses, and provisions in the Solicitations for Offers or Bids as required by 41 C.F.R. part 60-4. The goal for the participation of women in each trade area shall be as follows: from April 1, 1981 until further notice: 6.9 percent.
