Two NVUSD school bond measures to go before Napa voters in November 2022 Voters to consider two bond measures in November 2022, one applying to schools in the city of Napa and the other to those in American Canyon. Measure A1 - The city of Napa and nearby unincorporated Napa County voters within NVUSD are included in School Facilities Improvement District 1. Those voters will be asked whether to approve a $200 million bond measure. Measure A2 - American Canyon area voters are included in School Facilities Improvement District 2 and will decide on a $25 million bond measure for the schools there. If approved by voters, these measures will: Upgrade classrooms, science labs, computer systems and technology Fix aging buildings and bathrooms, including addressing leaky roofs, broken walls and ceilings and bringing facilities up to current code Improve outdoor spaces, play structures, fields and walkways Renovate, replace or add heating, cooling and ventilation systems Provide classrooms, labs and equipment for career and technology education classes Remove hazardous materials like asbestos and lead paint from older school sites.
