Site work for a road / highway in Napa, California. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.

Replace existing guardrails at 27 locations over an 11-mile stretch of Silverado Trail between MM 0.00 and MM 11.00. Project work includes post removal, beam detachment from bridge walls, and installation of height-compliant post and beam guardrail systems. All work will occur within existing County right of way. Bids are required for the entire work called for by the Plans and Specifications, and neither partial nor contingent bids will be considered. In conformance with Public Contract Code Section 20129, bids must be valid for 90 days from the date bids are opened. Each bidder must be licensed as required by law. The Contractor shall possess a Class "A," "C-13," or "C-32" license at the time of contract award. The Contractor and any Sub-Contractors shall be registered with the State of California Department of Industrial Relations (Public Works Contractor (PWC) Registration) at the time of bid opening. A bid guarantee in the amount of 10% of the total bid shall accompany the bid. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish a Performance Bond in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price and a Labor and Material Bond in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price with good and sufficient surety. Each bidder must be licensed as required by law. The Contractor shall possess a Class "A," "C-13," or "C-32" license at the time of contract award. The Contractor and any Sub-Contractors shall be registered with the State of California Department of Industrial Relations (Public Works Contractor (PWC) Registration) at the time of bid opening. This is a Federal-aid construction contract. The requirements are incorporated in the Special Provisions of the Bid Documents. The Davis Bacon Act and related provisions apply. The DBE goal for the project is 12%. For the Federal training program, the number of trainees or apprentices is zero. Day work is between 4:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Night work is between 7:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. Under no circumstances shall any work occur between 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. See these Special Provisions for work hours requirements.
