The purpose of this solicitation is to invite vendors to respond to a Request for Qualification to establish a Qualified Vendors List (QVL), for the procurement of Hot Mix Asphalt, also known as Asphalt Contract, for pickup by County-owned vehicles on an as-needed basis per Specifications and Requirements. The purpose of this solicitation is to establish a Qualified Vendors List (QVL) for the purchase and pickup by Countyowned trucks of Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA), also known as Asphalt Concrete. Broward County requires the Vendors to have a physical plant within 25 miles NORTH of Interstate 595 or within 25 miles SOUTH of Interstate 595. Refer to Exhibit A - Physical Plant Location. The QVL will include two (2) Groups of Vendors to cover the areas NORTH and SOUTH of Interstate 595. The physical plant location affects the HMA cooling time during transport. The Vendor's plant location to the paving site is crucial to maintaining HMA mix characteristics and minimize cooling time during transport. HMA material will be quoted and picked up on an as needed basis throughout the contract period. Goal Participation: This solicitation is open to the general marketplace. Application for a Vendor Account: Vendors are required to complete and submit this form along with a copy of IRS Form W9 - Request for Tax Payer Identification Number. Insurance Requirements: A Certificate of Insurance (COI) is not required by the Risk Management Division for pickup of Hot Mix Asphalt. Questions will be submitted electronically.
