The award of the contract, if it be awarded, will normally be made within thirty (30) working days after opening of the proposals. The contract agreement shall be executed by the Contractor within ten (10) working days after receiving Notice of Award of the contract and shall be completed within the schedule and working days set forth to start work in the Notice to Proceed. CONSTRUCTION SCHEDULE: Bidders shall state the time required for product ordering and delivery; the fee schedule/quotations shall include a project schedule. It is WUA's intent to complete the project within 30 working days of a Notice to Proceed. If additional time to complete the project is required, the Contractor shall specify such change and reasoning in the proposal. WORKING DAY: A Working Day shall be limited to the hours of 7:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M., Monday through Friday (excluding Saturday, Sunday and holidays). The Contractor shall pay WUA a current overtime inspection rate for any inspection requested or made necessary by his/her actions outside the normal working hours. The City of Whittier invites qualified consultants to submit a proposal for the application of video recording of public sanitary sewers in order to assist the City in efforts of cleaning sewers in easement areas. Responses to this Request for Proposals (RFP) will be accepted until Tuesday July 26, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. Proposals received after this date/time will not be considered. It is the responsibility of the proposer to ensure that any proposals submitted have sufficient time to be received by the City prior to this proposal due date and time. Any questions related to this RFP shall be submitted in writing to the City of Whittier Public Works Department at PubWks@cityofwhittier.org before 10:00 A.M. on the request for clarifications deadline of July 19, 2022. Any interpretation or correction of this RFP will be made only by addendum duly issued by the City. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this time.
