Ela Area Public Library, Lake County, IL, will receive sealed bids from interested trade contractors for 06A-1 General Trades, 09A-1 Drywall, 09D-1 Acoustical Ceiling, 09F-1 Flooring, 09G1 Painting, 21A-1 Fire Protection, 22A-1 Plumbing, 23A-1 HVAC, and 26A-1 Electrical and Low Voltage work for the Ela Area Public Library " Interior Renovation " Bids must be submitted in duplicate in a sealed envelope and labeled Ela Area Public Library " Interior Renovation " Bid Release 1 , the Date and Time of the Bid Opening, the Contractors Name and Address, and their Trade Package. All Contractors shall use the bid day label provided with their Bid Form. The project consists of 17,500 SF renovation to both levels of a 2-story library including improved traffic flow to book drops and self service stations, new public meeting rooms, a new service desk, and new work rooms, walls, finishes, flooring, and ceilings throughout. Improvements to mechanical, plumbing, electrical systems, and new lighting throughout is also included. A Bid Bond or Certified Check in the amount of 10% of the bid is to accompany the Bid Form. The successful bidder must furnish a Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond in an amount equal to 100% of the bid amount, with sureties approved by the owner, and Certificate of Insurance within ten (10) days of the award of the contract. All Performance and Payment Bonds will be in accordance with the requirements stated in the AIA 232 General Conditions. The Ela Area Public Library Board of Trustees reserves the right to reject any and all proposals or waive any bid irregularities.
