For South Saint Paul Library . The site address is 105 7 th Ave. N., South St. Paul, MN 55075. This project will develop a new one-story 16,200 GSF public library as part of an operational transition from the standalone South Saint Paul Library to a branch location of the Dakota County Library system in South St. Paul, MN. The site is located at the northwest corner of Marie and 7 th Ave. N. in South St. Paul that will require some soil corrections of buried rubble remaining from prior developments. The new library will include many County-typical amenities, including: a dedicated parking lot, reading garden, community and meeting rooms, study areas, collection space, reading areas, building support and staff workspaces including for automated materials handling. Bids may not be withdrawn within sixty (60) days after the opening bids. It is anticipated that the Dakota County Board of Commissioners will consider award of the project on September 6, 2022 at its regular meeting, and reserves the right to accept any bid or to reject any or all bids, or parts of such bids, and waive informalities or irregularities in bidding. The estimated construction cost is approximately $7,000,000. The Owner requires Substantial Completion of the project by December 1, 2023.
