RWSA currently has its administrative headquarters in two buildings on the grounds of the Moores Creek Advanced Water Resource Recovery Facility. The two-story Administration Building was constructed in the early 1980’s and houses offices, IT server space, meeting space and a full-service laboratory. The second building is a series of four trailers installed in between 2003-2010 that house the Engineering department. There is currently a need to house additional staff; increase office and meeting space; plan for the replacement of the trailers; bring the IT server workrooms to modern standards; and provide classroom space for education outreach. This project was coordinated with the recent MCAWRRF Master Plan and expansion of the building will take place in the lower parking lot adjacent to the existing building. As of September 5, 2023, this project is in included in the Rivanna Water and Sewer Authority FY 2024-2028 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). Project is scheduled for FY2024-2026 *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
