The City of Taunton is requesting written quotes for the supply of fire hydrants that meet the City's standard for hydrants. The standard hydrant requirements are stated at the end of this document. The delivery schedule is an important consideration in the award of this procurement. Questions on this procurement should be directed to: Mike Arruda, Water Commissioner at MArruda@taunton-ma.gov or 508-916-0181 Award: the city will award this procurement upon receipt of three bids or ten business days from the initial posting on the city bid portal, whichever occurs first. The City reserves its right to reject any and all bids and to award to the bidder that provides the best price or number of units to be supplied and consideration of the delivery schedule. The city has an available budget of $50,000.00 for this procurement. These hydrants are being procured to replace inventory, therefore a payment bond will not be required. We require one short (4 1/2 foot) hydrant and the remainder standard depth sized hydrants.
