The selected vendors will provide comprehensive tree cutting, brush clearing, and chipping services including but not limit to the following projects: 1. Trail head clearing 2. Overgrowth of vegetation surrounding parks and paths 3. Fallen trees in town right of ways 4. Invasive plant growth remediation 5. Chipping of materials in place in order to open views and vestiges 6. Tree maintenance or removal from town owner cemeteries, parks, and other town properties 7. Assistance with tree, brush, or overgrowth issues through town as identified by the town All technical and procedural questions about this request for proposals may be directed to Michelle Enman, Purchasing Agent at menman@easthartfordct.gov. The agreement for "on-call" services will expire five (5) years from the date of contract signing. In no event will the contract exceed a total period of five (5) years. The Town intends to award a contract to at least the three most responsible bidders or to the bidders whose proposals are determined to be in the best interest of the Town. The Town reserves the right to negotiate with multiple firms selected through this RFP process and may modify or reduce the overall scope of the work to be performed by the selected contractor. The Town reserves the right to reject or modify any proposal or parts thereof for any reason, to negotiate changes to the proposal terms, and to waive minor inconsistencies within this RFP. In addition, the Town reserves the right to reject any and all proposals when such action is deemed to be in the best interest of the Town.
