Renovation of a mixed-use development in Syracuse, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade laboratory facility.
The work of this single bid project consists of a multi-phased project that will completely renovate the central and northeast wings of the 4th floor of Weiskotten Hall for the Department of Laboratory Animal for Research program including replacement and upgrade to mechanical systems. The project will provide a new cage washer, autoclave and new mechanical fan tower. The renovation will provide facilities that comply with accreditation requirements. In addition, there will be a six-story fan tower addition centralized building utility equipment space for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for the Weiskotten Hall 4th Floor DLAR renovations as well as to provide additional mechanical, electrical, and plumbing system capacity or the ability to augment capacity to accommodate future renovations. EEO goals for this project: 6% minority workforce and 3% female workforce Minority Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 12% Women Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 18% Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business Contracting Goal: 3% Contract term: 913 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed
