The WORK consists of supply of the following equipment and/or materials necessary for installation of the City of Arcata's new UV Disinfection Equipment System (UV System): the UV Disinfection process piping and valves, as described in the Procurement Documents, including shop drawing submittals, piping and valves equipment, and coordination with the City's Contractor during equipment installation. Purchase and installation of this equipment and/or materials will facilitate the installation of a new UV System, which is part of the larger Phase 1 - Arcata Wastewater Treatment Facilities Improvement Project. This CONTRACT is subject to State contract non-discrimination and compliance requirements pursuant to Government Code, Section 12990. The City of Arcata hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, sex, or national origin in consideration for an award. Funding for the Work performed under this Contract is provided in part by a grant from the California Department of Housing and Community Development, which requires Supplier to agree, and Supplier does hereby agree, to comply with the following terms and conditions, to comply with applicable State and federal requirements described in this Contract, which pertain to, among other things, labor standards, non-discrimination, Americans with Disabilities Act, Equal Employment Opportunity and Drug-Free Workplace; and, to comply with the applicable provisions relating to Labor Standards/Prevailing Wages. In addition to these requirements, all contractors and subcontractors shall comply with the applicable provisions of the California Labor Code. The City of Arcata reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
