Furnish all labor, materials, tools and equipment necessary for the demolition and replacement of five public piers along Donner Lake in Nevada County, California, in accordance with the plans and specifications. Each bid must conform to the requirements of the Contract Documents entitled TDRPD PUBLIC PIER REPLACEMENT PROJECT. No bid will be considered unless it is made on the form provided and accompanied by a Certified check, Cashiers check, or Bidders bond for 10% of the amount of the bid, made payable to TDRPD. The above-mentioned check or bid bond shall be given as a guarantee that the bidder executes the Contract, if it be awarded to him or her, in conformity with the Contract Documents. TDRPD has determined that the Contractor shall possess a valid Class A General Engineering license at the time that the Contract is awarded. Failure to possess the specified license shall render the Bid as non-responsive and shall act as a bar to award of the Contract to any bidder not possessing said license at the time of the award. Within 15 days after notification of the Award on Contract, the successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance and Payment Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. Said bond shall be secured from a Surety Company satisfactory to TDRPD. In accordance with the provisions of Sections 1770,1773 and 1773.1 of the Labor, TDRPD has determined the general prevailing rates of wages applicable to the work to be done be as listed by the Department of Industrial Relations (415) 703-4780 or electronically Pursuant to Section 22300 of the Public Contract Code of the State of California, the contract will contain provisions permitting the successful bidder to substitute securities for any moneys withheld by TDRPD to ensure performance under the contract. TDRPD reserves the right to reject any and all bids and/or waive irregularities or informalities in the bidding.
