Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Jasper, Florida. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

This project consists of resurfacing Central Avenue and select paved parking areas between 3rd Street South and 3rd Street North. Major items of work include clearing & grubbing, basework, asphalt paving, turnout construction, updating signs and pavement markings. Deadline for Questions: Monday, June 6, 2022, 5:00 PM A cashier's check or a bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the contract amount must accompany each bid submitted. A performance bond in the full amount of the contract amount and liability insurance will also be required prior to commencing work, to save the City of Jasper harmless from any claim that may come from any accident that may occur due to the construction of the project. The City of Jasper reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to add to the contract or delete from the contract to stay within the funding capabilities. For any conflict that may occur from any information in the plans, specifications or bid form, the City Engineer will make the final decision. All construction and materials shall conform to the requirements of the plans and specifications. A minimum of one-way traffic (with flagging) shall be maintained on all streets within the project area. The contract time for this project will begin fourteen (14) calendar days from the notice to proceed or the first day of work, whichever comes first. Contract time on this project is 62 calendar days. Liquidated damages will be assessed to the Contractor as follows: 1. The amount of $1,000.00 for the first substantiated MOT deficiency 2. The amount of $5,000.00 for the second substantiated MOT deficiency. 3. The amount of $10,000.00 per MOT deficiency far each substantiated MOT deficiencies following the second deficiency. 4. The amount of $500.00 per day for each day over the contract time.
