The City of Airdrie is seeking proposals from suitably qualified firms that are registered with Alberta Environment and Parks (AEP), and Alberta Recycling Management Authority (ARMA) to collect Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) and Paint on a scheduled program including any required identification, classification, packaging and transporting at the Airdrie Recycling Depot. The City of Airdrie operates a year-round depot for the collection of HHW located at 21 East Lake Hill NE, Airdrie, AB. The selected contractor will pick up pre-labelled HHW collected at the depot on a weekly basis and transport it for destruction or recycling as appropriate. The schedule is typically once per week; however, as waste amounts can fluctuate, pick-up requests may change. The term of the agreement will be for one (1) year with the option in favour of the City to extend the term for an additional four (4) years in one-year increments. Pricing for this work will be negotiated annually, no later than 60 days before the start of each year of the agreement. Services are anticipated to begin September 1, 2022. This will enable the respondent to download the solicitation document, to ask questions, to receive amendments, email notifications, download amendments, and submit their quotation electronically
