Each Proposal submitted shall be accompanied by an acceptable bidder's surety bond or a bid guaranty in the form of a certified check or cashier's check made payable to the Paris Junior College in an amount not less than 5% of the greatest possible total amount of the Proposal submitted as a guarantee that, if awarded the contract, the Bidder will enter into a Contract and execute all necessary bonds and provide evidence of all required insurance coverage. All bidders' security will be retained until a contract has been awarded and executed. The project is subject to all applicable Federal and State laws and regulations. In addition, the successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or national origin. All contractors/subcontractors that are debarred, suspended or otherwise excluded from or ineligible for participation on federal assistance programs may not undertake any activity in part or in full under this project. Paris Junior College reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by Paris Junior College for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder's qualifications prior to the contract award.
