Renovation of a municipal facility in Santa Clara, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

The City of Santa Clara ("City") is seeking quotes from qualified vendors to provide Direct Drive Fan Replacements for GE Turbine Generators (LM-6000 Package), in support of Silicon Valley Power, the City's Utility (SVP). The City shall issue a blanket purchase order to the successful bidder for an initial twelve month period. After the initial period, the City reserves the right to exercise four (4) additional one-year period extensions for a total of five (5) years. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS: 1) Please refer to the RFQ Instructions document and any other attached documents. 2) Final award shall be contingent upon selected firm (bidder) accepting the City's PO Terms and Conditions. SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS: 1) Bidders shall include a detailed quote with their submittal. 2) Submit all response documents online through PeriscopeS2G, including electronic attachments if applicable, using the "Vendor Notes for Offer" function. The City will not accept hardcopy response documents. 3) All line items must be priced or clearly show "No Charge" or "included" not left blank or zero. BASIS OF AWARD: The award for this requirement will be based on lowest responsive and responsible quote that meets all specifications. The City may award by line item, lot, or overall lowest cost after application of local business preference, if applicable. PRICING: Pricing shall remain fixed for the initial one (1) year term. After the initial term, the City reserves the right to exercise four (4) one-year extensions for a total of five (5) years. In the event the City elects to exercise its option for annual renewals, price adjustments will be considered by the City if the vendor demonstrates to the satisfaction of the City that price increase is justified. Price Increase requests must be tied to CPI, PPI, or relevant industry specific index. Requests for increase must be fully documented by the vendor. The City reserves the right to disqualify suppliers from bid opportunities if they have failed previously to tie a price adjustment request to a relevant index and/or exercise an option. LOCAL BUSINESS ENTERPRISE PREFERENCE: The City's Local Business Enterprise (LBE) Preference is applicable to this bid. If your business has an office in the City of Santa Clara and a valid City of Santa Clara Business Tax Certificate, then you should refer to the bid instructions for further information on applying for this Preference. SALES TAX: Do not include sales tax in your quote. City will work with the selected supplier to establish the applicable tax for PO/contract award. FREIGHT/SHIPPING: Freight and/or shipping charges shall be at no cost to the City "FOB Destination prepaid" unless specified as a separate line item on quote or electronic note through the "Vendor Notes for Offer" function. In the event of special or expedited orders where incremental transportation or shipping fees are incurred by Bidder, those incremental freight charges shall be added as a separate line item to the invoice submitted. **In order to comply with the Governor's Executive Order, the following information is provided which will be included in City bids and agreements until such time that the EO is rescinded. The EO directs the City of Santa Clara to take certain immediate steps, including notifying all contractors and grantees of their obligations to comply with existing economic sanctions imposed by the U.S. government in response to Russia's actions in Ukraine, as well as any sanctions imposed under state law. This correspondence serves as a notice under the EO that as a contractor or grantee, compliance with the economic sanctions imposed in response to Russia's actions in Ukraine is required, including with respect to, but not limited to, the federal executive orders identified in the EO and the sanctions identified on the U.S. Department of the Treasury website. Provide unit price for direct drive fan replacements for GE Turbine Generators (LM-6000 Package). Attach a detailed quote, and include estimated lead time, ARO on the quote. Attach, or include in the "Vendor Notes" section, labour rates for repairs of these units.
