Renovation of a mixed-use development in Chelmsford, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

New equipment to support the current demand of the food service is proposed to be replaced at the Community Education building. The scope of work for the Plumber is to support the removal and installation of the kitchen equipment and plumbing fixtures as described below. The kitchen equipment has been procured by the Town of Chelmsford. The equipment specifications dated 6/30/22 are attached for reference. Most ofthe delivery of equipment is anticipated to arrive by mid-August. The Convection oven and warming cabinet are anticipated to arrive in early - mid September. A layout of the existing and proposed equipment is shown in the attached Chelmsford Education Equipment Plan dated 4/22/22. 1 .Cut and cap hot and cold water lines next to food prep sink. 2.Change existing hand sink to new hand sink with side splashes 3. Change existing wash sink in dish washer room to new hand sink with side splashes. 4. Install new sink and dishwasher with grease trap in old dishwasher room. 5. Gas Train. Rework existing gas piping to supply 3 new and 1 old pieces of cooking equipment. See attached equipment list supplied by others. 6. Install new CO protection for gas train under hood. Supplied by others. The awarded Plumber will work with the other trades to facilitate the completion of the work and the construction schedule. All questions pertaining to the interpretation ofthe specifications and scope of work shall be emailed to Christine Clancy, DPW Director, at cclancy@chelmsfordma.gov. All questions will be answered by email. Questions shall be submitted by 4:00 pm on 7/20/22 Community Education Building Kitchen renovation plumbing only. Informal Bid (Request for Quote). Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000.
