Reference Number : 1622124 This notice is for the acquisition of Moyno slurry and polymer pump parts & Sewer Chewer macerator parts, for the next three (3) years. Reasons invoked by the public body for entering into the mutual agreement contract Under section 573.3.0.0.1 of the Cities and Towns Act, Ville de Laval may award a contract by mutual agreement for the purchase of goods and services despite an expenditure above the threshold of $105,700 in insofar as documented and serious verifications demonstrate a sole supplier situation. Approach: Ville de Laval analyzed its needs and conducted market research to identify the product that best meets the city's expectations. Requirements: The goods/services required are the acquisition of parts for Moyno sludge and polymer pumps and parts for Sewer Chewer macerators for 3 years, in order to meet the operational needs and the proper functioning of the 3 water resource recovery stations ( StaRRE) of Pinière, Auteuil and Fabreville. Wajax Industrial Components is the exclusive distributor in Quebec of products manufactured by Fluid Motion Solutions. The selected pump parts are compatible with this equipment. If parts are supplied by another supplier, changes will be required to all current equipment. These are the reasons why it would be better to continue acquiring the parts of the pumps of this brand. Conclusion : Currently on the market, only Wajax meets all of the City's requirements. It is in this context that Ville de Laval wishes to award said contract to the supplier mentioned in this notice.
