As of October 6, 2022, project was awarded to Caliente Construction Inc, awarded amount is $3,933,708.28. The scope of this project is a general remodel of the interior and exterior of an existing building to be used as a public facing light-duty medical clinic. The scope also includes mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and low voltage systems. There is limited scope relating to site work. This solicitation does not include scope at the stand-alone WIC building at 5141 W. Lamar Road. Q & A deadline: Aug 02, 2022 3:00:00 PM MDT During the design phase of the Public Health Glendale Remodel, the building was broken into, resulting in vandalism and various damage, including, but not limited to: Drywall, Electrical, Plumbing, Glass, Flooring, Rooftop HHVAC, and possible Minor Fire and/ or Smoke Damage. Prospective bidders are to be aware of this situation, investigate accordingly, and request information, as needed, during the solicitation period. Damage may be observed and/or further investigated during any non-mandatory site visits. Permitting Authorities and Authorities Having Jurisdiction: There are two permitting authorities for the Public Health Glendale Remodel project: Maricopa County Planning and Development, and the Glendale Fire Marshall. Planning and Development as authority over all permitted scope, except the fire alarm and fire sprinkler scopes. The Glendale Fire Marshall only has authority relating to fire alarm, fire sprinkler, fire protection water service from the street, and related life safety issues Required Fire Protection Line (New): A new fire service line is required by the Glendale Fire Marshall and may or may not be noted in the design drawings. This service must be installed at the street water main and brought to the building. Design, submittals, permitting, and installation shall be handled by the contractor. Design will be handled as a deferred submittal to the Glendale Fire Marshall and, once approved by Glendale, it is anticipated that a confirming deferred submittal will be made to Planning and Development.
