Renovation of a theater / auditorium in Kingston, Ontario. Completed plans call for the renovation of a theater / auditorium.
This Request for Quotations (the "RFQ") is an invitation by City of Kingston (the "City") to prospective respondents to submit quotations for the supply and install of new rainscreens at the City's Grand Theatre at 218 Princess Street, as further described in Part 2 RFQ Particulars (the "Deliverables"). The rainscreens proposed are to provide additional exterior cladding infrastructure that sits away from the building's masonry outside walls of its Rosen Auditorium (as detailed on the drawings), creating an air cavity directly behind the cladding that further protects the masonry walls and augmenting its weather-resistant barrier. The new cladding will allow any moisture that may pass by the cladding to easily drain away from the building, and the air that flows between the cladding and the wall accelerating the evaporation of any residual moisture.
