Award Date (estimated): 5/28/2025 Contract No.: 4600015598 Project Summary: The objective of this project is to maximize Airplane Design Group (ADG) III parking positions at Terminal A. It will pave the existing no-taxi islands to create a larger apron to be used for RON parking to accommodate the gate reconfiguration along Terminal A North. Questions Deadline: September 19, 2024, By 2:00 P.M. (CST). NIGP Code: 91-310 DBE Goal: 8% Security Deposit: A certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond in the amount of 10 percent of the Total Bid Price. Performance Bond (100% of total amount of bid) PERFORMANCE AND PAYMENT BONDS. For Contracts over the value of $25,000, Contractor shall provide Bonds on the City's standard forms covering faithful performance of the Contract and payment of obligations arising thereunder as required in the Contract pursuant to Chapter 2253 of the Government Code. The Bonds must be for 100 percent of Original Contract Price and in accordance with conditions stated on standard City Performance and Payment Bond and Statutory Payment Bond forms. Bonds may be obtained from Contractor's usual source and cost for the Bonds are included in Contract Price. LIQUIDATED DAMAGES. Contractor, Surety, and the City agree that failure to complete the Work within Contract Time will cause damages to the City and that actual damages from harm are difficult to estimate accurately. Therefore, Contractor, Surety, and the City agree that Contractor and Surety are liable for and shall pay to the City the amount stipulated in Supplementary Conditions as liquidated damages, and that the amount of damages fixed therein is a reasonable forecast of just compensation for harm to the City resulting from Contractor's failure to complete the Work within Contract Time. The amount stipulated will be paid for each day of delay beyond Contract Time until Date of Substantial Completion. Contractor shall pay the City an amount equal to $1,200.00 per diesel operating vehicle or piece of motorized equipment per incident of high sulfur diesel fuel usage. Notice to proceed (NTP). The Owners notice to proceed will state the date on which contract time commences. The Contractor is expected to commence project operations within 10 days of the NTP date. The Contractor shall notify the RPR at least 24 hours in advance of the time contract operations begins. The Contractor shall not commence any actual operations prior to the date on which the notice to proceed is issued by the Owner. The maximum construction time allowed for Schedules will be the sum of the time allowed for individual schedules but not more than 300 days. Permitting the Contractor to continue and finish the work or any part of it after the time fixed for its completion, or after the date to which the time for completion may have been extended, will in no way operate as a wavier on the part of the Owner of any of its rights under the contract. The City may reject all Bids or may reject any defective Bid.
