A recommendatiion was made to award the first phase of the work of the 700 Smith Blvd development to James H. Maloy, Inc. at a cost not to exceed $1,753,000.00. Project No. JB215020 The Albany Port District Commission ("APDC") is seeking to engage the services of a responsible and responsive Construction Company to provide construction services for a portion of the Port of Albany Offshore Wind Tower Manufacturing Facility located at 700 Smith Boulevard, in the City of Albany, in the existing port district, and part of the Port of Albany Expansion site (hereinafter referred to as the "Project" or "the 700 Smith Blvd Expansion Site"). This solicitation specifically covers the 700 Smith Albany Expansion Site consisting of approximately 14.5-acres vacant parcel zoned for industrial use and located in the City of Albany Port District. The scope of work for this project will include building foundation work including underground utility work as required, the purchase and construction of a new approximately 20,000 sq ft receiving building ("Building E"), along with building up fitting to include electrical, HVAC, and plumbing. The awarded bidder will be required to order, erect, and up fit the building per the engineer's and architect's drawings and plans provided to bidders in the design team documents upon request. There are two existing one-story structures located on the east side of the site, which should be removed prior to the start of work. The removal of the aforementioned structures is not part of this solicitation and will be covered under a separate solicitation. Therefore, bidders shall assume that the 700 Smith site is a vacant plot of land only consisting of a RAP cap. This RFP also includes associated site civil work, including but not limited to the Normanskill Street and adjacent Port Street Roadway improvements, with multiple rail crossing improvements, with environmental controls for all areas.
