Renovation of a residential development in Berkeley, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.
Housing Project No. 2, Packages - WP-13 - Structural Concrete, WP-26 Doors, Frames, and Hardware, WP-33 Gypsum Drywall and Metal Stud Framing Anticipated construction start September 2022 with a 33 Month schedule duration. The owner has purchased a Subcontractor Default Insurance program therefore Payment and Performance Bonds from the trades will not be required. However, trade contractors may be required to evidence their ability to provide a 100% Payment and Performance Bond upon request by Webcor Builders. Also, Subcontractors will be required to fill out the 100% Payment and Performance Bond rate on the provided Bid Form should Webcor Builders elect to Bond the subcontractor instead of enrolling them in the Subcontractor Default Insurance program. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: WP-13 - Structural Concrete The following bidders have been prequalified to bid on this project: 1. Nibbi 2. JJ Albanese 3. Conco 4. Webcor Project Delivery Method: Construction Manager At Risk; all trades will be procured on a low responsive bidder (LOW BID) basis except for the work packages identified as a Best Value Selection (BVS) basis; see "Work Package Matrix" below. For all work packages identified as being selected on a BVS basis, Subcontractors are to follow the Additional/Supplemental "Instructions To Bidders - Best Value Selection For Core Trades (Request For Proposals)" Contract Document included in the "03 - Contract Exhibits folder. Complying with these BVS Instructions To Bidders are critical to the success of a Subcontractor's bid effort. Additional milestone dates and bid submission requirements are included in the BVS Instructions To Bidders.
