Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Grand Haven, Michigan. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

SCOPE OF PROJECT The project consists of constructing the following: Following the clearing, grubbing, and grading of the proposed project area construct storm drainage system, new electrical service, 2" water line service, a new paved parking lot and driveway, chips & fines trails, elevated boardwalk, entrance sign, benches, trail & interpretive signs, and concrete walkways. The site will be restored with a combination of turf grass, dune grass, native wildflower seeing, maple woodlot restoration, oak savanna restoration, and white pine restoration. The work to be performed under this contract will be financed and paid for by funds received from MDNR Trust Fund Grant and Grand Haven Charter Township A bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check payable to Grand Haven Charter Township in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total price shall accompany each bid. This surety shall bind the bidder for a period of forty-five (45) days after the receipt of bids. Award of the project is anticipated on August 8, 2022. Grand Haven Charter Township desires to have most of this project completed in the fall of 2022 but understands the boardwalk and other work could be performed in winter months with final restoration likely completed in the spring of 2023. All Work must be substantially complete on or before May 19, 2023 and be fully completed, operational and ready for final payment in accordance with Paragraph 15.06 of the General Conditions on or before May 31, 2023.
