Daviess County Fiscal Court is seeking a qualified vendor to supply approximately 30,000 tons of washed river gravel (or documented equivalent) meeting the bid specifications to the West Daviess County Landfill. This material will make up a 1' leachate drainage layer of stone that will be placed above the synthetic liner of the 16.6 acre Subtitle D Landfill Cell that is currently being constructed. The washed river gravel (or documented equivalent) that will make up the leachate drainage layer of stone shall meet the following requirements: a. Classified as gravel according to USCS by ASTM C-136/C-117 b. Have a minimum permeability of 1x10-2 cm/sec by ASTM D-2434 c. No adverse impact on the gravel when in contact with municipal solid waste leachate by ASTM D-3042 modified to use pH 4 d. 100% passing a 3" screen e. No more than 4% passing a #4 sieve f. Less than 1% shall pass a #200 sieve III. DELIVERY: Delivery will be made to the West Daviess County Landfill, 7772 KY Highway 815, Owensboro, KY 42301. IV. TEST RESULTS: Test results confirming the product meets these specifications are not required for bid submission, however, test results confirming the product meets these specifications will be required prior to delivery THIS IS THE ANTICIPATED DATE THAT ALL 30,000 TONS OF LEACHATE DRAINAGE LAYER STONE WILL HAVE BEEN DELIVERED TO THE WEST DAVIESS COUNTY LANDFILL WHICH SHALL BE NO LATER THAN FEBRUARY 28, 2023. **IF YES, INCLUDE DOCUMENTATION FOR ANY AND ALL EXCEPTIONS AND WHAT SECTIONS THEY PERTAIN TO. FAILURE TO PROPERLY RECORD EXCEPTIONS COULD RESULT IN IMMEDIATE REJECTION OF THE BID.
