Renovation of a municipal facility in Rome, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Dominick Street Facade Improvement Project. SCOPE OF WORK: The owners are soliciting proposals from qualified firms or individuals to provide construction services to renovate the front facade of 1409 E. Dominick Street in Rome, NY. Please provide bids broken down in the following categories. Some or all the categories of work will be implemented, based on what can be accomplished within the project budget. AREPLACE (15) EXISTING LIGHT FIXTURES-Remove (2) existing light fixtures on Gigliotti Ave facade, remove (8) existing fixtures on West Dominick Street facade (not shown on drawings), and remove (5) existing fixtures inside breezeway (not shown on drawings) - total of (15) light fixtures. Furnish & install (15) new light fixtures: Kichler #49060 Ripley light, dark bronze finish, or equal. Connect to existing circuits & switches. Install per manufacturer's instructions & provide all electrical work as needed with third. party (rough and final) inspection reports. All products shall be reviewed and approved by the City of Rome and the Owner, prior to installation. B. INSTALL (3) NEW LIGHT FIXTURES-Furnish, install & energize (3) new light fixtures in existing exterior brick wall: Kichler #49060 Ripley light, dark bronze finish, or equal. Provide (1) switch inside each adjacent tenant space entry door. Install per manufacturer's instructions & provide all electrical work as needed with third party (rough and final) inspection report. All products shall be reviewed and approved by the City of Rome and the Owner, prior to installation. Repair/patch brick as required to provide weather-tight condition. C. INSTALL (1) NEW EXTERIOR OUTLET-Furnish, install and energize (1) exterior lockable duplex receptacle. Provide power from Copperccino's tenant space.Install per manufacturer's instructions & provide all electrical work as needed with third party (rough and final) inspection reports. All products shall be reviewed and approved by the City of Rome and the Owner, prior to installation. Repair/patch brick as required to provide weather-tight condition. A. REPLACE (15) EXISTING LIGHT FIXTURES B. INSTALL (1) NEW EXTERIOR OUTLET C. INSTALL (3) NEW LIGHT FIXTURES PRE-BID CONFERENCE & PROJECT QUESTIONS There will be no pre-bid conference for this bid. The City of Rome will not accept late bid submissions. Electronic submissions are not permitted for these bidding documents. Bid packages can be delivered to Rome City Hall and dropped in overnight depository. Bid materials can be inspected at the following locations: x Office of the Rome City Clerk, Rome City Hall 198 North Washington Street, Rome, NY, 13440 Bids shall be accompanied by money order, certified check, or bid bond in the amount of 5% of the total bid price, payable to the City Treasurer, City of Rome, Rome New York. No bidder may withdraw their bid within forty-five (45) calendar days after the actual date of the opening thereof. It is the policy of the City of Rome to encourage the greatest possible participation of minority and women-owned business enterprises (MWBEs). All qualified MWBE suppliers, contractors, and/or businesses will be afforded equal opportunity without discrimination because of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, age, disability, or sexual preference.
