A timeline for award has not yet been established.** For Indian River Baseball Field Renovations The Town Manager reserves the right to reject any, or any part of, or all proposals; to waive informalities and technicalities and to accept the Bid which the Town deems to be in the best interest of the Town, whether or not it is the lowest dollar amount. Construction Process Contractor shall verify existing grades prior to commencement of construction. Remove existing infield grass. Remove 5 feet of exiting grass around the skinned area to enable the proper regrading of the infield from the pitcher's mound out ward. Install additional topsoil, as needed, to establish proper gradient .Install sod. Spread infield mix (Dura-Edge or approved equal) onto the existing material and rototill to a depth of 3 "- 4"'. Wet the infield mix and roll with a one ton roller. Slowly drag the infield twice with a mat drag. Rake and sweep all edges to remove any loose material from the grass. Material Specifications. Sod shall be a similar grass blend as presently exists on the field. Sod supplier shall be approved by the Town. Infield mix shall be Dura-Edge as supplied by Pioneer Athletics, Farmington, CT or approved equal.
