White Mountain Apache Tribe is soliciting proposals to perform architect and design services (Architect/Engineer A/E) to develop a new Convenience Store and Tire Shop. Question Deadline 11/17/2023 at 5:00 PM MT The project consists of constructing a new C-Store and New Tire shop located on the site of the existing C-Store and Tire Shop in Whiteriver, AZ. The New C-Store shall be constructed in the location of the former Tire Shop for services to remain uninterrupted for as long as possible. The Project will consist solely of constructing the New C-Store and Tire Shop with related infrastructure and utilities; the fuel island, gasoline pumps and tanks and related infrastructures will be advertised separately. The C-Store will include retail areas with food, snacks, and necessities. A small restaurant with a dine-in area as well as a drive-through. Site improvements and new parking areas will also be included. The new store will have walk-in coolers, drink coolers, restrooms, and office space as required. The new tire shop shall include shop bays to perform work, areas for tire storage, customer areas, restrooms, and office space. The tire shop shall have site improvements and parking areas. Since the new store will be in place of an existing fueling system, any hazardous waste, mitigation, and remediation shall be part of the overall scope of the project. The White Mountain Apache Tribe (Tribe) is a federally recognized Indian Tribe located in the east central region of Arizona, 194 miles northeast of Phoenix. The Reservation is located Apache, Gila and Navajo Counties and encompasses 1.6 million acres. The town of Whiteriver is the location of the tribal government, is approximately 180 miles Northeast of Phoenix. There are more than 12,000 enrolled members. The Tribe is governed by the White Mountain Apache Council, which are elected by the tribal members.
