The purpose of this invitation is to obtain proposals, and ultimately enter into a contract with a firm that provides inspection services pursuant to the PA Uniform Construction Code (Act 45) and the City of Allentown Ordinances. The City will award to the lowest most responsible bidder. Question Deadline 08/03/2022 at 4:00 PM ET - Questions regarding electronic submissions are welcome via email through Purchasing.Agent@allentownpa.gov. Each bid shall be accompanied by an original Bid Bond signed by a surety company, with original signatures, authorized to do business in Pennsylvania in the amount equal to ten (10%) percent of the bid total or a Certified Check, a Bank Check, or an Irrevocable Letter of Credit in the amount equal to ten (10%) percent of the bid total. Performance and Labor & Materialman Bonds in the amount of one hundred (100%) percent of the contract price. Maintenance bond to comply with the Guaranty (See Section 1.17) in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the contract amount for a period of twelve (12) months from the final acceptance by the City. The Contract term shall commence upon full execution and shall cease one (1) year thereafter. Upon written agreement, this contract may be extended for up to an additional two (2) one (1) year terms beyond the contract expiration period. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
