The intent of this Request for Proposal is to obtain submissions from Proponents for Mechanical, Electrical and Fire Protection Design Assist Subcontracts for the Ashern Lakeshore General Hospital Inpatient Addition & ED Renovation Project. The project consists of a new 26 bed, 19,117ft2 Inpatient addition as well as a 5,500ft2 renovation to the existing Inpatient Unit to expand the Emergency Department and accommodate a total of 8 treatment spaces. The Lakeshore General Hospital (LGH), 1 Steenson Drive, Ashern, Manitoba, is a facility within the Interlake-East Regional Health Authority and is a district hub. Originally constructed in 1972, the general hospital and personal care home is a single-story building of structural steel and concrete construction. The new inpatient addition will be a structural steel building on a concrete foundation.
