Background The existing structure at the Champlain FL site (NLF 2063) is part of the Canadian Coast Guard (CCG) aids to navigation. The structure is showing signs of aging. It was decided to proceed with the complete replacement of this structure. Work Description The work under this mandate consists of the construction of one (1) concrete foundation and its accessories. In addition, the Contractor shall dismantle the old steel structure and demolish the old foundation. The whole shall be disposed of in an appropriate manner. The Champlain FL structure is a cylindrical tower with a height of twenty-eight feet (28'). More specifically, the work is summarized, but not limited to, the following: - Mobilization, demobilization, and support during construction; - Demolition and disposal of existing reinforced concrete foundation; - Construction of one (1) new reinforced concrete foundation (see plans in ANNEX B); - Installation of grounding; - Site cleanup and restoration, including landscaping; - Production of "as-built" plans and a short photographic report; Construction time: Contractor must begin at contract award date and all work must be completed by November 30, 2022.
