The Metropolitan Council Environmental Services (MCES) is seeking bids from qualified experienced contractors to overhaul our primary settling tank. This work will be part of the inspection/repairs of the Seneca Wastewater Treatment Plant's Primary Tank #2. The successful bidder agrees to inspect and perform scraper arm repairs as authorized by the Project Manager, sandblast and coat the metal components of our primary tank, inspect and perform external catwalk structure repairs as authorized by the Project Manager, sandblast and coat the external catwalk structure, prep and recoat the tank floor. This work will include the cleaning and haul out of used media, scrap, debris, trash and waste from the surrounding area and the interior of the tank that are a result of the work performed. The settling tank is a 2.1-million-gallon tank and is 155' x 155' x 12' with a 12:1 sloped floor towards the 48" centre section. The successful bidder must provide all the labour, equipment, materials, permits, scaffolding, crane service, any other rental equipment, shop time and miscellaneous tools, including, but not limited to, ladders, ventilation equipment, lighting, confined space entry safety equipment etc. necessary to furnish the services as outlined in the specifications.
