Demolition of the existing, single-story clubhouse, trellis, and public restroom. Construction of a new single-story multi-purpose community building, a stand-alone public restroom and a trash enclosure. Scope includes site work, building core and shell, interior improvements, MEP, fire protection, audio alarm security systems (no CCTV). Work includes ancillary work in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Contract Documents. Work shall be completed within 395 Calendar Days from the date when Contract Time commences to run. City specifically reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to reject any or all Bids, to re-bid, or to waive inconsequential defects in bidding not involving time, price or quality of the work. City may reject any and all Bids and waive any minor irregularities in the Bids. Bidders are solely responsible for the cost of preparing their Bids. This contract WILL NOT be subject to the First Source Construction Agreement. The undersigned Bidder herewith encloses cash, a cashiers check, or certified check of or on a responsible bank in the United States, or a corporate surety bond furnished by a surety authorized to do a surety business in the State of California, in form specified in Document 00 2113 (Instructions to Bidders), in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the Total Bid Price and made payable to City of Berkeley.
