Site work and new construction of a municipal facility in Berkeley, California. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a municipal facility.
The African American Holistic Resource Center (AAHRC) will be a facility slated to house culturally congruent services to help eliminate inequities within the Berkeley Community. Following the report, A Community Approach for African American/Black Culturally Congruent Services, the City funded a feasibility study and in December 2020, City Council approved Measure T1 funds for the design and construction of the AAHRC. This project is in included in the City of Berkeley FY 2023-2027 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). As of July 14, 2022, further details regarding design and construction have not been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
