The Maryland Environmental Service (MES) is requesting sealed Bids from qualified chemical manufacturers/distributors to furnish and deliver approximately 8,000 gallons of 50% Sodium Hydroxide annually to the Severn Water Treatment plant located at 8200 Deerfield Ct, Severn MD. 21144. Deliveries will occur on a monthly basis and are estimated at 600 gallons per delivery. Successful bidder will also be required to supply an 800 - 1,000 gallon storage tank with dual containment to store the product. The quantity of the 8,000 gallons of Sodium Hydroxide for a year is an estimate. Bidders are solely responsible for the timely receipt of their electronic bids. Late bids will not be accepted. Mailed, Emailed, Faxed and Hand Delivered bids will not be accepted. There is no MBE subcontract participation goal for this solicitation. It is the stated policy of the Maryland Environmental Service to encourage Minority Business Enterprise participation on all State contracts where there is an opportunity to do so. The Bidder is encouraged to utilize Maryland State certified MBEs during the performance of the Work when there is an opportunity to do so. The right is reserved, as the interest of the Maryland Environmental Service may appear, to reject any items of any Bid. Bidders having questions and inquiries regarding either the technical or the procurement sections of the bid documents shall be sent though MES Procurement Portal. Failure to follow these instructions may result in a delayed response to bidder inquiries. The deadline for questions to be received by the Procurement Office is October 6, 2022 by 12:00 PM.
