Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to a mixed-use development in Ames, Iowa. Conceptual plans call for the addition of a retail development; and for the renovation of a transportation facility.
CyRide's facility is 40 years old, and major components of the building are at the end of their useful life. Additionally, the facility is housing more vehicles than it was initially designed for, creating higher wear and tear on the facility and a need to explore expansion options in the future. As a result, this plan has been developed to keep the current facility in a state of good repair, as required by the Federal Transit Administration. 2023/24 Shop Expansion ($750,000); replace concrete ($40,000); A & E services This project is included in the city's 2022-2027 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). As of July 14, 2022, further details regarding design and construction have not been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
