Renovation of a fitness / recreation center in Kitimat, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fitness / recreation center.

The works to be constructed under this Contract includes, but is not limited to the following: - Demolition of existing shower fixtures, floor drains, tile and substrate, plumbing services, ceiling lights, exhaust fan grille, gypsum board ceiling, and section of south wall between showers and changeroom. - Inspect subfloor for mold or rot and remove as required to remove and replace existing plumbing services. - Capping water and sanitary plumbing for re-use in renovation. - Relocation of existing diaper change table. - Modification of existing south wall including construction of foundations to provide access between showers and changeroom. Foundation installation involves accessing crawl space known to have asbestos containing materials. - Supply and installation of new plumbing services, subfloor, tile and substrate, floor drains, shower stall partition walls with flip up benches, shower fixtures, grab bars, shower curtains, robe hooks, painted gypsum board ceiling, waterproof LED lighting, and exhaust ducting and grills. Tenders must be accompanied by a Certified Cheque or Bid Bond valid for a period of 60 days in the amount of 10% of the tendered price as bid security. The District of Kitimat reserves the right to reject all tenders or to award the Contract to other than the lowest tender received if it perceives that to be in its best interests.
